13. Gay Right

I have friends who is gay and I treat him as normal as other friends. Normally, men treat gay are totally different then men who treat men. I think the reason is they are afraid to admit there are some weaker men who became a “girl” and they think gay sex is dirty. At the first period of time such as before the age 18, gay bothered their not gay friends a lot and leave them a bad image. For example, if a gay who knows what he likes and live in their group, that’s very good for him to have friends but also a problem to get alone with other male friend. Later they would have sex with other gays, and that cause more problems too. They were isolating and misunderstanding by others for a long time, but they still need someone to love and be loved. They changed their boy friends and girl friends just like us but only in their small group. Once a gay’s x’BF or x’GF become his partner’s BF or GF later. And that happened normally. The problems are not just come from us because once a gay to be sure that he is a gay that means he loves man or he had sex with a guy. I think gay are different group of human, Dr. Su- Juin Huang said, “It’s a kind of dislocation of gene.” So that, we can’t hurt them by just their action; we need to give them the correct idea of develop and protect themselves. Of course they can take care themselves just like everyone. Gay have right just like we do.

12.Testing Cosmetics on Animals

1. Its still necessary human take animals testing for the medical research although that is very cruel to the animals and now days found that the medicine which use in the animals are still different then use in the human. It still has many benefits of animal-based science such as to improve the hearth and well-being on people. If it doesn’t test on animals who will allow to be on the body test? Is that you or I or the criminal in the jail who wants to make expiation of his guilt to human? That would bring us more problems. I know it’s better to take care of those pity animals but if the scientists have another choice they would find other ways to do already. Maybe someday our science developed another step that they can have medical test on computer first and save more animals and people too.

2. I found some cosmetics company using the animals test on line such as P&G, Unilever, Oreal, Johnson & Johnson, but another report says they don’t anymore. And if you want to buy“cruelty free” cosmetics you can check the packing which has “No Animal Test” words and the rabbit mark.

10. Whale Wars

After I saw the short movie Whale wars on YouTube, I think that’s really ridiculous of the pirates which hunting the whales in the Antarctica. After this movie, whole world people would know the research boat that Japanese government calls “Japanese pirates” are hunting the whales and also attack the “sea shepherd Antarctica crew”. That means Japan are using the research boat to hunt whales and there is no one can stop them but only the media “Animal- Planet”.
In my opinion, the ways to defense of the environment and preventing the extinction of species is by international laws. Perhaps that works in 70%; we can give pressure of bad image of the country with other ways. If you asked me how far “so far” the works should be done? That could be an endless question, and we can just make a wish. Cause the world is like this: the most we want to protect, the bad would find a ways to against and spoil it.

9. Animals Taiwan

Animals Taiwan is a volunteer group dedicated to improving the livelihood and treatment of animals in Taiwan. They provide animals care, adopt, foster, and some great resources like video of helping the owner to train their adopt pets. There are lots of news and information about animals are posted online. Also they have some activities that people can donate some old things to the pets. Abundance of cute homeless dogs and cats’s pictures are posted online. I highly recommend that you can adopt one if you like.

8. Animal Rights

I think the laws to protect animals in TW are good but not good enough. There are 3 reasons of why people tread animals bad. I think the first one and it’s the biggest one is the owner throwing his pets away because they don’t want to pet their pets anymore. Whatever they don’t like their pets anymore or they have no money or time to take care of it, when a pet vagrant onside streets grows many problems. The second problem is some people kill and eats endangered and abused wild animals and they think it has really good taste and good for health and can save their lives even longer. The third one also the horrible one is few people hit and hurt animals for their psychological problem. They think animals are not human and they cannot speak so that people can do whatever they want to them. I think that’s very bad because they forgot animals have lives too and some animals can live as long as human. I think government need to protect our environment and animals and keep the nature balances and beautiful. Animals and human are all lives who trying to live better in earth.

7. class work. Cheating~

Q: What do you think should be the punishment for students who cheat in this class?Should they be allowed a second chance to “fix” their mistakes? If so, what can they do to fix their earlier mistakes?
A: I think to cheat is a very awful thinking and if anyone start to cheat as a quick way to reach or get his/her goals, it must need to be taught and fix or punish right a way before it turn to a “bad habit”. And I totally agree that to cheat or not is relating person’s family education. And the reasons of cheating are all different per each one. I remembered when I first cheated to watch others answers during the test was because I am afraid to get low grades so that I’d be hit by teacher and my mom. If I cheat, I may have chance to escape from the scary spank; if I don’t cheat, I sure to be hit badly. What would I chose? And what would you chose at that moment? After I grow up, I won’t be hit by teachers anymore so I don’t cheat of test to have higher greats either.

First of all, what is the purpose of punish for cheating? To be honest and not cheating! I don’t think so! Because you can watch people cheat around you in your world. I think to chose to be honest is a very precious character and it can really help you to get your goal later.
If i am a tercher and i found that some of my student cheat in class, I certainly tell them no way to be cheat in my class. And i'll gave them some important concept of goods being honest. And also tell them cheat is useless for their future and to get a good job later. Of course I’ll be very nice to give them certain chance to fix it by making en appointment in my office and give they work to do to make their subject pass. If i found a student cheating during the test, i'll walk to my student and warn him/her behavier. If she/ he get not good grades i'll help them to pass the course though other ways or works.

In my opinion, to learn things in my class is more important then to get high grades or get pass.
And that is also my concept. Learning is more important then just pass the class. If i dont get a good greads in classes i'll be sad and maybe do it later... but not cheating at all.

3. class work Women's right

Women's right is very important in every society. Think about that, it’s the women who pregnant and birth the baby and also bring the new life to the new generation. Its not women are more weak so that we need more protection from the laws or government; its women need to have the same right as men had in many ways. In the old time Taiwan, women rarely work outside and stay at home to take care of the family and child. Later, women work out and have their own business to improve their social position just like the man. Now days, women and men both need jobs to support themselves and a family. So, the problem comes… who will do the birth job? The answer is still women! And the first problem is how woman should do during the pregnancy and the time after she has a baby. Will the government support them money for it? How long their maternity leave should have? How can they survive in the workplace and work after their maternity leave?
From the news report, women in Taiwan earn 20 to 30 percent less than men, so that the man's income is typically a family's main revenue source. If women loose their job because of the babies, what can they do? I think those are the problems that we need to think about and talk about.

16. Class work Poem

From the 7 poems link teacher gave us, I chose one from Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken. I have read his poem from the Western Literature and I like his poem a lot.
Frost’s words are sincere, honest, and not resplendent at all and that’s the point to touch others. The first line wrote there is a man meets two roads a head in the forest. And then, he talks about the different of those two roads. One has more people decide to go because the road is wide and also looks easy to follow. And the other one seems less people chose to go and looks much harder, mysteries, and risk. The second stanza points poet’s will. He chose the one which is not so popular. Of course he wants two and he said that he can just leave one for later again, but the truth is he also knows that he can never back from the begin. He gave us a sigh because he knows the road are hard and will lead him a place different from others. Sometimes, many times, there has no perfect way and just one way of your decision.

1.Second Life

I didn’t watch the “Secind Life” film in class but I check it online as the teacher commended us. I even download the free game and tried to play it a little bit. I used to play a game names SIMS many yeaars ago and I found the “second Life” is similar to the game SIMS. But this game seems more powerful then the game I played before. It seems like a real new life you created and decided by yourself but not God. And in the game, you can do almost everything you want and go to the place wherever you like to go. And you can have your own schedule without anyone’s sugestion. If I can have mylife like that, how come I chose not to take it! That’s the magic of the imagination. As a man can never have their life like that, a smart people created a game and help you to have your dream contrue through the game.
